Gabby Vermeulen

Senior Speech Pathologist

Hi, I’m Gabby.

I’m a Senior Speech Pathologist at Can:Do 4Kids.

I have experience in supporting clients in a variety of areas of communication, but particularly primary - high school aged speech and language.

I feel proud when my clients take steps towards overcoming barriers, including feeling safe to communicate their experiences, participate in challenging activities or identifying their own goals independently. I love being able to witness when things "click"! It makes me feel proud that I am open to different perspectives and new learning to shape my practice for the better.

Since joining Can:Do in 2023, I’ve enjoyed the positive atmosphere and culture of our organisation. I feel grateful to be a part of a compassionate and determined team that is rich in experiences and knowledge. It means we have access to a variety of facilities which has opened many different doors for me in how I can support my families.

I am passionate about understanding my clients' lived experiences, especially those with Autism. I am working to improve my skills in neurodiversity-affirming practices. My goal is to help clients better understand themselves, so they can advocate for their needs and participate safely and happily in their environments.

When I’m not at work, I play, coach, umpire and mentor in the netball community – which I really love! I also enjoy drawing and spending time with my friends.
