OT Highlight - Jess Schultz

It's OT week and we are featuring some of our talented therapists through-out the week.

So, meet Jess Schult...

Why did you choose to become an occupational therapist?

I’ve always had a passion for working with people and a belief that every individual has the ability to live a meaningful and purposeful life. I love that occupational therapy allows me to assist people to be empowered to live the life they want to live.

What area of practice do you work in?

I work with children and families with a sensory impairment.

What has been most rewarding about being an OT?

Seeing my clients engage with their environment and their peers and the pride that they have when they achieve a goal.

What has been most challenging?

One of the things that I love most about my job is also one of the most challenging aspects. Each child and family are very unique and have their own needs and dynamics. This means that the way I work with one family will be different to the way I work with another.

At Can:Do 4Kids we offer services through individual and group-based therapy for children from birth to young adulthood.
